Introductory

As the name implies, this is generally a ‘Yoga 101’ or ‘Pilates Basics’ class, for students taking those first tentative steps into a new practice area.

Gentle/Restorative

These yoga classes are great for people who live with chronic pain, injuries, or illness or who would just like to move at a slow, more relaxing pace. Emphasis is given to breath work, philosophy and the meditative/spiritual aspects of practice. In a Gentle Restorative class, part of each session is devoted to working with restorative postures using bolsters, blankets, and other tools to help facilitate deep restoration.

Moderate

A couple of steps up from the intro and gentle practice in terms of strengthening and physical challenge. Teachers begin with a gentler version of a posture/sequence and build gradually to a more advanced version. There is plenty of room to modify for less physically demanding practices. Our teachers are very experienced at adapting movement to individual needs. Emphasis is also given to breath, philosophy and the meditative/spiritual aspects of practice.

Energizing

These fitness training classes focus on helping to strengthen and tone the deep core and full body as we energize the nervous system. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, with options to modify for people working with injuries or illness. A great and safe workout in a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
